when you switch lights to 12/12 you are switching your plants to flower-mode.

this usually means a different bulb/light setup.

the act of switching lighting from (18/6 or 20/4 or 24/0 - on/off) to 12/12 triggers flowering hormones in the plant. some plants are so sensitive to the change that one night-cycle switch, and switching back to 18/6, and the plant will need to "reveg"...

outdoors, when the days shorten to a certain length in hours, triggers the same hormone changes.

sometimes toward the end of a flowerring cycle you can "encourage" your girls by switching to 11on/13off and flushing them. I wouldn't bother with any less light unless you have a specific strain that wants something different.

otherwise remain at 12x12 for flower.
MdmPele Reviewed by MdmPele on . 12/12 explain please! i feel like a noob just asking the question, but i need it answered. with the 12/12 light cycle, it goes to 13/11, 14/10, etc. ok so which one is lights on? my guess is the first one, but im not even sure wether or not to give it 13 hours lights or 11 hours light. any help would be great.
