You want a cool white (around 6500k) for vegging and a warm white (2600k) for flowering.
If you are using tube type fluros, GE Kitchen and Bath 40s work well for flowering. For vegging, the "el cheapo" shop light tubes work just fine!
For CFLs, you just have to read the package and hope they have it listed somewhere. I found some small straight tube CFLs at the Dollar Store that are bluish and nice for veg- if you get a mess of them. Walmart had some big, cool white, "curly" bulbs that were more cone-shaped than most.
The usual "curly" bulbs are usually "warmer" and will work for flowering.
Now get reading! Start with the stickies in the grow section!
Granny :hippy:Storm Crow Reviewed by Storm Crow on . Newbie Okay well I have a four week old plant under a 26W CFL, I just have some questions to ask. Does it matter if I use water from the tap or should I be using some special water since my city puts in floride and other stuff in our tap. I also have another question about ventilation, now when the term ventilation comes in to play, I really have no idea how I should go about ventilating my closet. its a walk in closet of course, but itsjust a grow room now though. SO if I can get any advice, I also Rating: 5
