If they are not paying unemployment and workmans comp they will not be in business long. Health ins is not required by law. There is a lot of profit in non-profit business. Maybe the co-ops are paying minimum wage but that is not applicable to most non-profits. (like almost every hospital in the country) Do you think the CEO of the red cross makes minimum wage? they are non-profit
