I have a cool tube that mounts 2 1000 watters or 2 600 watters. I have one 1000 watt MH and a 1000 watt Super HPS. I don't think it gets much better than that, lots of spectrum, power, and coolness.

Either way, you know you will be fine.
hey dude, I'm just curious how exactly would a hood , for instance a sputnik be better than a cool tube? As in like a greater amount of air flow? tubes are quite constricted I guess... but it is uniform. But light coverage? My cool tube isn't glass, its a special type of plastic which probably contributes to a few 1000 lumens of light coverage lost Livable on a 400watter I think..

Look forward to hearing your thoughts man!

Cooltube or not I currently run 2 seperate tubes in 2 diff cabinets and am in the process of putting together a 12x7 room in my basement for a 12 pot ebb&grow system. My question is when I get the light for the room I plan on getting a 1000w system but am unsure if I should get another tube or go with a different hood. Can a cooltube cover the same area as another type of hood or? Just looking for some input to rattle around in my head so any thoughts that are thrown in here I'll be glad to get  Rating: 5
