I think the difference is based on strain mostly. You will see trich's soon enough. The HPS will make a lot of difference as stated by everyone. Get 8 more cfls and then see how much less you have.

You have to switch to 12/12 to induce flowering, unless its a auto flowering strain. And if it is, you would leave it on 18 or more. I would say it takes 1-3 weeks (depending on strain) to see buds start to form.

Budding question Idk if this is really a problem, But a friend of mine has plants 2 weeks in to flowering with nice little buds, (You can even see the thc on the leafs). Now my plant is almost two weeks in, And there is white hairs every where, But I cant see any thc and there isn't any buds. But he also uses a 400 watt hps, Im using cfls. So my question is I guess, Does the lights play a big role on it. Or is mine just a late bloomer. Rating: 5
