Coughing Up Nasty Goos

Yeah so it's been a couple months now since this has been going on and I don't know what to think about it. I know its gotta be resin of some sort, either refer or ciggs but not sure. I wanna guess the bud because I have been smoking a lot of it, but I've only been a big stoner for like 3 years. Anyone else get this problem, it's like a dark dark brown, sometimes black with speckles. I know it's not good, but as long as it's not gonna kill me quite yet, I don't mind haha

I did read a thread recently of a member here that did in fact say he was coughing up black stuff (he or someone else called it tar?)

I would say, anything you are spitting up and coughing up something black, it would definitely be a good idea to go see your Dr. and get a good physical. Let your doc know what is going on.

If you are concerned of this, i would definitely go see my Dr. and get it checked out. Could be other things, as well. Like, do you work in a coal mine or stuff like that? Take your temperature and see if it is normal, doesn't hurt to cover your bases either! PR :hippy:

i forget what they are called but the little black things are actually what lines the windpipe leading to the lungs. they act as a filter and try to clean the air entering the lungs as best as possible. when u inhale smoke of any these things are worn down from trying to filter all the smoke and in some cases even burnt and this is why they appear black when u cough them up

Nothing really hurts, it's just something that happens every once in awhile but usually in the morning. And no painretreat, I don't work in any type of coal mine... Dominos pizza baby hahahaha I'll probably end up tellin the doc next time I go in, or if it gets really worse. Hasn't actually been affecting me as bad lately since I'm trying to quit ciggs, and cutting back on herbs. Plus, I'm gonna have an Extreme Vaporizer here sometime today, so hopefully that'll help it out too. w00t

this sounds right because cannabis opens up your lungs, and if you smoke cigs, it is easier for that tar to come back out

yeah i've had this.. nausea usually precedes it... I've also had those nasty black/brown spots, they aren't really spots i'd call them fibres.. Tar fibres that form in the lung cappilaries... also along your oesophagus, not sure if that spelt right ;p uhh yeah basically i've had this.... sometimes when i get bad gear.. sometimes when i'm feeling kinda pasty that day.

I just figured its my body saying NO GET OUT to the tar and shit, smoking usually sets it off...


anyways guessing this makes sense to you since you described this condition so well, you aren't hyperactive dyslexic or a migraine sufferer are you??

I'd guess at tar from cigarettes. Check the forum's, I am sure there is another one like this with others coughing up black. I'd vape for sure and stop the cigs--if you possibly can.

Any chronic cough needs to be checked by your Dr. and I am guessing your lungs are going through a periodice cleansing! Vape and you'll see a difference, is my guess. It surely isn't marinara sauce!

Your lungs do have a lining in them that is damaged by smoking. The lining is to filter harmful things out. It starts in your nose with hair and moves right on through the intake valve's-so to speak! Since you are reporting no fever or any other symptoms--if it were me, I would just work on cessation of cigarettes and vape as you plan. Then if it persisted, or if I had a fever or any symptoms continued to bother me, go to my doc.

Already I can tell a difference after only using the vape for only a few days. Smoking a few grams a day out of a water pipe gets to you, this new vape, The Extreme, is insanely awesome :thumbsup:

I had the same issue then I started vapin:vap_rasta:.........thats the answer to your question :thumbsup:

Make sure you pull the glass off straight.....couple people I know busted some of the glass
