Sexing Plants
I am thinking about trying to get some mother plants going before the outdoor season starts so I can have clones for when the time comes. The way I see it thereā??s a few ways of going about this. I would like to try all of these eventually to find out which one results in pistils showing the fastest.
1) Grow 12/12 from seed and take cuttings ASAP before the plants show.
2)Veg the plants and cover a branch on each of them for 12 hrs a day.
3) Veg some plants and take clones to be mothers. Then flower the original plants.
4) Veg some plants till you can take a few cuttings from each and then flower the clones after they root. Keep the original plants to be mothers.
In your personal experience, what is the easiest/ fastest / best method for sexing plants?
Any input or suggestions are appreciated.jchesmore722 Reviewed by jchesmore722 on . You want to take clones while the mother is still in veg... the clones will root easier.
No need to flower the mother, ever.
