This doesn't make sense to me. Assuming you are in the US, its the beginning of spring right now, so how could you be flowering? The days are getting longer and will be for a while, and the shortening of days is what triggers a plant to flower, so I don't think your plant was flowering outdoors unless you had some kind of tent set up to cover them for 12 hours....

Anyways, those CFL's will probably do, but in my limited experience with a friend of mine that flowered under CFLs, you'll get mostly top buds that aren't near as dense as what you get under an HID. They will do the job though. If you can, to get the best results, tie down the individual branches so the light is spread out evenly as opposed to letting it grow freely because the foliage that is grown over will not get much light and you will get a bunch of tiny scraggly buds. Also make sure to keep your dark area 100% dark.
