Freaking Urgency.... =s
This is bad. Got to move my girls fast from where they are right now because someone saw them and i dont feel SECURE AT ALL with him...
so... i decided to change them from the outdoor to indoor, where i can hide'em better :wtf: And the worst part is that the babies where starting to flower so i HAVE TO find a solution fast or lose a flower cycle...
Well quick question:
I currently have 4 compact CFLS (60Watts each/3200lumens each/total of 12k lumens). Will that be enough for veging and flowering 1square meter? I tried to get HPS or MH, but where i live its impossible to get them... :S
I would really thank a quick answerKmakok Reviewed by Kmakok on . Freaking Urgency.... =s This is bad. This doesn't make sense to me. Assuming you are in the US, its the beginning of spring right now, so how could you be flowering? The days are getting longer and will be for a while, and the shortening of days is what triggers a plant to flower, so I don't think your plant was flowering outdoors unless you had some kind of tent set up to cover them for 12 hours....
Anyways, those CFL's will probably do, but in my limited experience with a friend of mine that flowered under CFLs, you'll get mostly top buds that aren't near as dense as what you get under an HID. They will do the job though. If you can, to get the best results, tie down the individual branches so the light is spread out evenly as opposed to letting it grow freely because the foliage that is grown over will not get much light and you will get a bunch of tiny scraggly buds. Also make sure to keep your dark area 100% dark.
Good luck!

Thanks man!
Im not in the US
Do you think that if i add ONE MORE 60w bulb(3200lumens) it will do good for vegging also?

Haha sorry, for some reason I just assume most people here are in the US. Anyways, you can veg under what you have an be just fine. I use those same 60W CLFs in veg like 2 per plant and they perform really well. But CFLs for flowering is a different story. Nothing beats HID for flower IMO.

Nice. Ima try to get a HID, but its very expensive to get a ballast, so il stick with CFL for a while and in a month or two get a HID for flowering. =D
Thanks for the quick answers man

The more light the better. Dejayou had a good point about tying down the plants a little. CFL's are only effective within a couple inches of the plant, so if you can use one light for more than one bud site, then you will get a better yield. Also, look at the Kelvin range on those. Flowering plants like lower K numbers, like 2700K (instead of 6500K, which is better for veg)

My explanation for tying down wasn't very clear. If you tie the top of the plant down and then tie each branch individually so the plant is essentially horizontal, then lower the CFLs to hover closely to the plant, you will increase your yield since there's no branch that's overgrowing another to block it from the light. Hope that was more clear and good luck!

What you think of the 4 CFL's for vegging. And when its time to flower 4 CFLS + a 150W HPS? As far as i know the 150W HPS would give 16k lumens and the CFLS would be 12k lumens. Total of 28k lumens and only 390Wats =D

Why veg them again? Why not just continue with the 12/12 cycle?

I'd watch for bugs that you've possibly brought-in with the plants, and devise a better plan and location for your garden next time.
I'm curious why they were growing outdoors in the first place, if someone seeing them could spook you so easily.
Also kinda curious why, when you thought someone had seen them, you would bring the evidence into your home.
Are we going to be reading questions in the future about how to keep your parents from smelling them now? :wtf:
