Any tricks for keeping outdoor plants well hidden.
I found a large wooded area behind my house.. probably a few square miles and I want to plant about 12 plants in 3 different locations.. 4 plants in each spot that is.. I want to put them in pots so I can move them around if needed. My main thing is keeping them well hidden for when they get tall and begin flowering.
I was thinking I can surround them around thorns, bushes and other stuff to keep them well hidden but I just want to hear other ideas.marijuanaisgr8 Reviewed by marijuanaisgr8 on . Well if you want to keep it discreat,
Dont plant 12 of them.
Do about 4 max.
And put all *4* in seperate locations, Try to plant them next to a pine tree, So if helicopters fly over they wont be able to tell,
Don't go out to the plants very much to check on them, That makes things very obviouse. Only go like once a weak to water if needed, Try to have them next to a water source, Leave no trails behinde such as (Watering cans, Ferts, Shovels, Empty soil bags)
Do them in very bushy areas that people don't go to very much.
And when you flower, If time is an issue, After a couple months of vegg, You can buy a lawn bag and the plant steaks to stab in the ground, Put them in the ground over the plant, I would then take the law bag and buy some very good clear tape, Take branches, Twigs, Vines and cammo the bag. You can then push 12/12 on the plant whenever youd like to.
During flowering you only have to go out once every weak and half, Inless your using the bag to force flowering.
I hope this helps,
If you have anymore questions, Just leave a post and I'll reply back soon.
Cheers, Happy growing.

You shouldnt use pots, Maybe to start out with.
But when there atleaste 9 inches tall, You could dig a big hole for each plant and fill them with a soil like Forfarms ocean forest. It works very well.
The only reason youd want to do that is because it will have enough nutrients already made in the soil. So you don't have to fert it durning vegg.
Other than that they should be just planted in the natural earth.
And they will grow fine.
Probly actually better than being in pots, Nothings as good for a plant as the earth and sunlight.

Yea I already know about Fox Farms soil and nutrients. I've never used it and Im already attached to it. I just wanted to use a pot in case I had to move them around.
I'm just going to dig a hole and use the Fox Farms soil. I wasnt sure how long the nutrients in the soil would last but not having to add them for the whole veg cycle sounds good.
How about if my plant really doesn't get the best view of the rising sun because the spots I have to use are slightly hidden?

Well I went out there to dig 2 holes up in two different spots. By the time I was done ripping the roots of other trees and stuff out the ground I was tired as hell! LLS.
I decided to start piling up thorns, tree branches, and other natural debri around the grow spot to deter ppl from coming through. I still want to use chicken wire because I dont want them damn animals to get to it. I'm still weighing my options as chicken wire looks far from natural.
I'm going to do a combination of LST, topping and supercropping.. not necessarily all but a combination of two. I want to keep the plant short and bushy. Everything is looking good so far tho!

Well it all depends, You dont really need the soil, My first plant I just put the seed in the ground after germinaited, And I used no nutrients or anything, It was over 5ft tall, But it turned out to be a male.
The nutrients will basically just help more, But a plant tastes alott better with out all the chemicalls in it, Just let nature do its course.
The only problem about using pots is, You have to transplant them and that will just cause more attention if your out there transplanting them in differnt pots.
Youll be fine man, Just germinate them, And plant them in the ground (In an area that gets atleaste six hours of direct sun light a day).
Its not such a good idea to use chicken wire, Inless your not so worreyd about it. Id just take the risk. I dont think animals will mess with your crop, Inless you got alott of deers and stuff where you live.
Topping is a very good idea, But do it after it has its 5th node or so. Also try low stress training when you go to flower, (More buds)

Any tricks for keeping outdoor plants well hidden.
actually Im using organic nutrients which If im not correct... the ones I want to use would dramatically increase the taste.. especially the ones for the flowering cycle. There are alot of animals where I live.. groundhogs, squirrels, deers.. I saw a racoon once. I saw a fox a couple times(I think it might be the same one however).
Only thing that is on my side is that ever since I've been going around the wooded area to see how suitable it is for a grow.. I only have seen one deer.
Amazingly the deers, squirrels, even the racoon and fox I've seen generally stay closer to the houses where all the people are at. Maybe they go into the wooded area late at night.. I'll check one of these nights.
I'm not using pots anymore.. and instead of the chicken wire I might just use natural barriers to deter larger animals.

Any tricks for keeping outdoor plants well hidden.
A good trip with deer i know is to surround the grow area with fishing line. Deer will not continue to walk past an invisible barrier for some reason... haha.
