Increase your yield 3 to 4x by making your own fertiliser
Sounds to me like it's more of an agricultural theology, rather than a valid step-by-step technique. Keep your soil organic and healthy...blah, blah, blah...
A plant's cells can only divide sooo fast. Period. Pushing a plant past normal, healthy growth, you'll get mutations and anomalies. (whacked-out hormones and steroids) Perhaps one of these mutations or anamolies is what you're looking for, but I'll stick with what has been working great in my garden for years. Organic soil, Fox Farms 3-part, some humic acid, and ph'd well-water. Doubtful my meds can get much more potent. Doubtful I can get them to taste any better than they do now. Doubtful I need to keep the soil in my indoors garden sustainable. (it's actually re-used in my vegetable garden, but otherwise disposable) But for now, all I really need is a lighter.
Want to avoid chemicals? Find the organic equivalent, and avoid redundancy. Don't want to wait for organic ferts to break-down and become usable to the plant? Use chemical ferts. Want to throw everything but the kitchen sink into the soil, in hopes it does some good...? Beware of creating a toxic soil enviornment. (makes troubleshooting nearly impossible) Want to spend a lifetime dialing-in a great organic soil or fertilizer mix...? Make your own. Want to dig-deep, and get to growing...? Use what's available, and realize...there is no true horticultural panacaea, but there are many sub-standard techniques, lol.
Kinda reminds me of something my grandfather told me many years ago.
...A good carpenter never blames his tools.
Have you reviewed your growing technique? Just curious, since this is likely the other half of the equation...
