You can put the germinated seeds, into soil fresh soil now. Paper cups with holes are perfect. I don't know about hummus though. I just use a good quality fert free garden soil mixed with 30% pearlite. For a PH of 7 you need a PH testing Kit. But the soil I spoke of should have a stable low PH. You should not be using any ferts until your plant has 5-7 nodes. But I sometimes use a root stimulator.

You can get a PH testing kit rather cheap, but it wont give you an exact PH only a general range(you mix chemicals and compare colors to obtain a pH). You can get a digital PH tester for about 50 bucks and up. Once you have a PH testing kit of some kind you then need to buy a PH up and PH down. These are chemicals that will raise or lower your pH. You mix them in with you fertilized water until you have the pH you want.

If you want expert results get a digital pH tester. I have a Hanna pH/ec/tds water proof, it cost me 165 bucks. Non water proof units are cheaper. tds is total dissolved solids, or how much stuff is in the water. ec is the same thing just different units.

I think it is still to early to plant out side, in south east US, the plants will flower. Does anyone agree?
