In summary, Ultimately, it is the role of the individual, with help from their family, friends and churches if they choose, to regulate responsible behavior. It is the role of the State legislatures to forge responsible drug laws for the people of that State. This has been the case in the United States of America since before we were founded, after we took our independence and up until 1937.

After 1937, we started a radical shift toward a centralized federal gov't that would attempt to control every aspect of our personal lives (okay, Dr. Paul didn't say that, I'm just adding stuff :jointsmile. This is what some refer to as the "Nanny State".

Anyone who trusts themselves should, by nature, be against a centralized nanny state.
