Light Exposure during dark on 12/12 bloomers

Hey All....I forgot to close the door to my bloomers last night and they ended up receiving light from the veg room during their night cycle. They all look great, but from what I have read I will not see any immediate affects.
Can someone point me to a thread on light leakage? If there s not already a post for this topic, can someone please give me a rundown of the issues that can be encountered?
I am also curious if a minimal amount of reflected light during the dark cycle can have an adverse affect on bloomers as well? My setup is next to impossible to completely seal off the light to the bloomers. I have done tons of stuff to minimize, but there is still the tinniest bit of reflected light getting in. I would assume that the moon would be a similar affect, so does the bloom room have to be COMPLETELY light tight, or is a little OK.

    Tanks,

There are some threads here about this, and the consensus is that it takes about 3 times screwing with the dark cycle before the plant stresses to the point of hermie, which is the main problem when you mess with the dark cycle (besides your plants not flowering at all)

It's recommended that your dark cycle is so dark, that you cannot see your own hand in front of you. Yes, in nature the moon puts out a little light... so the only way to know if that reflected light has any effect is to wait for flowers. If your plants flower, then it should be ok.

sweet thanks...They are already ~3 weeks into bloom with nice little flowers popping out of all the joints, so I am not worried about them making flowers. I am most worried about the hermie issue, so we will see...

Just gonna go out on a limb here, but you will have herms soon. Although the moon puts out light, it is nothing compared to the sun. The difference in ratio is tremendous! If you can see the light leaking, it's too much! Much more than the moon compared to the sun. Good luck. Hate to see someone put in the time it takes and have light leaks. It's not a question of if, it's when they will herm. I believe that it would happen even if you didn't leave the door open, from what you are saying about the leaks.
    Good luck.

CRAP...I knew light leaks could be an issue, but have never had any problems with minor ones. Now I have more than usual due to a reconfiguration effort. I am going in there with a roll of duct tape and freaking out for a while now.

Does anyone know a good way to get panda to stick to cement walls without glueing it?? That is what is causing the majority of my problem right now. Duct tape does not stay stuck to f-ing cement.

    Thanks,
    Durb

Try silicone caulking, you could also try velcro, but it's much more expensive, less messy though. I used silicone around a giant window, it worked well. Velcro will come down eventually, even the industrial grade stuff. Best IMO is the silicone caulking, it's just messy as shit! Good luck.

Oh, don't know how well that would work on cement. But it does sound like you are heading the right way. Hope it goes well.

They may not hermie that bad anyway.

I doubled up and overlapped a bunch of the existing panda. Then I sat in there with the light off this morning and used 2 rolls of duct tape and went apeshit on all of the tiny little rays of light. I think I am good now.

It is funny because I have seen some setups that had terrible light leakage and the guys would walk in and out of the room all day...They never had any hermie issues..I wonder is some genetics are more resistant to it than others.
