Ok all,

I received an email today stated that "I was all set" from my employer after taking a urine drug screen (6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MS) from Quest Diagnostics, the same place many of you will be taking your pre-employment drug screens. The method I used was dilution...........and while I did not dilute "to a T" the way it was outlined in the above sticky, the way I did it served it's purpose. Here are some tips and advice based on my experience. Alot of this may be repeated info, so bear with me.........

1. Take a home drug test the day before, or the day of the drug test so you know where you stand..........use your first pee of the day. This way you will know how much you need to, if at all, dilute, based on a void that hasn't been "cheated" in any way.

2. Look somewhat presentable when you go to take the test. This shouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things......but I've noticed when you don't dress and look the part, less suspicion will be directed your way. If I was in rush, and a guy with a Grateful Dead tee as opposed to a guy in a tie gave me a sample.........I'd probably spend more time analyzing the first guy for the signs of dilution. Not very important.......but everything helps.

3. Follow the dilution sticky........it is a very good guide, and has been proven to work. If you don't.........err on the side of caution and drink a shitload of (my preferred drink) Vitamin water "Revive" (the purple one)..........it's loaded with B vitamins which may help the color of your urine. I drank so much water and vitamin water that my piss was completely clear..........SUPER diluted. My points are these:

1st: Some employers regard a "negative dilute" as a negative...end of story.....even if they don't.....it's much easier to argue why your piss was watered down than why there is THC metabolites in it.

2nd: I'd rather take the chance of not knowing where my creatinine level and SG levels were........than piss dirty. Worst comes to worse you retake the test and buy yourself some more time to clean out. Just my two cents.

4. This isn't an option for everyone...........but try to put the test off as long as possible without looking shady. Have a "family emergency" like I did............2 extra days meant the difference between me passing and failing a home test......so IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. The lesson here.....all of these methods work alot better in conjunction with staying off the smoke for as long as you can. Piece of mind is priceless!

5. Lastly, try not to worry too much. Easier said than done I know.........but I was the type that, since I knew I smoked weed within a week.........I thought these labs were out to get me. Trust me, they do hundreds of these tests a week.........the only thing that makes any difference are your numbers at the end of the day. Follow the dilution methods, abstain for as much as you can............and go in. You have to take the test regardless, so do everything you can to better your odds.
