in Montana any patient can grow 6 plants, and sign with any care giver (any person designated to grow for a patient, and also registered through the state) that can grow 6 plants for the patient (entitling each patient to 12 plants if they choose to have a care giver)
so any care giver can have as many patients as they can handle, and thus a care giver can legally have 6 plants per patient that has signed with them
