I've seen hotspots in milar and aluminum reflective material-- they usually happen near where a plant is set near a bunch of wrinkles. If it's all you have or all you can find and/or all you can afford, go for it. However, plan to upgrade as you can afford.

Take a look at Panda Film (black on outside, white on inside) white side in, no light leaks.


Personally, I use 1/2 inch foam insulation with aluminum exterior (not the white styrofoam insulation). Great way to make a mini-closet or close in a wire rack like I did for my vegg closet. $10 a 4x8x1/2 sheet, cut to fit, tape with duct tape.

White is better reflective. Next time I'll paint the paper side white.
