I am new to the forum, so greetings! Also, thank you in advance for all your advice and support, it is greatly appreciated. I will qualify this post by saying that I am a total idiot who recently smoked some weed and now I have to take a drug test in the near future. I understand that you probably get hundreds of these posts a day so I will be as specific as I possibly can.

My situation: I would not classify myself as a "heavy" smoker, when I smoke, I smoke about a hitter or two and I'm good to go. I haven't smoked for about 3 months........then smoked a hitter or two a night for 4 days a week, nothing Thursday- Sunday (when I see my girlfriend). I abstained for a week after that 2 week smoking period..............then smoked one hitter on Saturday................and one hitter Tuesday of that same week. I exercise pretty regularly............and am in OK shape. I will most likely have to take a Quest urine test on Monday for my job.........which will be the 6th day from the last time I took one hit. I've passed a few home tests by mildly diluting..........but failed one Thursday after not drinking much at all. Do you think my status or chances of passing will improve greatly within the next 4 days? I am planning on doing the aspirin/dilution method, but I'm hoping a home test confirms a negative status on Monday before the test by just abstaining. My use has been very infrequent, and when I do smoke, it's never very much at one time. Please advise! Thank you in advance!

One more question I forgot to mention............................If I pass a home test, can it be reasonably assumed that I will pass a Quest lab test? I took one awhile ago and diluted it by drinking tons of Gatorade, however........I hadn't smoked for about 3 weeks so I might have passed even if they ran a GC/MS for it being diluted. If you pass the home test you should be good for a lab test. Be sure and not over dillute. Follow the sticky and you should be ok. You might look at subbing with synthetic urine as backup in case you don't pass your home tests.

When you say not to "over dilute", you basically mean to exactly follow the volume of liquid consumed according to the sticky right?

Thats right.

And one more thing: Labs dont run the GC/MS for the sample being diluted. The GC/MS is used to confirm drug positives that occurred on the initial assay screen .

don't forget to load up on some creatine supplement 2 days before the test, get B2 for color

I have the drug test on Monday in the afternoon. This morning I drank 2 glasses of water and drank a green tea so I would pee quicker. I tested negative on the First Alert home drug test............a pretty solid red line, so not even a "weak negative". I peed about 30 min after I drank the two glasses of water.........so I didn't really even "dilute" all that much and my pee was still a light yellow color. It was my 3rd "void" of the morning and I worked out pretty vigorously last night. Do you think I m most likely going to be fine for the test, if I take the aspirin and dilute pretty well...........considering these preliminary results??? Are the home tests pretty close to what they will use at Quest????

Thank you all so much in advance...........while I understand drug use at work is not a good thing............I think recreational use off the job in moderation is not my potential employers business..........as long at it does not interfere with my work.
