    1 400 and 1 600, start under the 400?

Hello! I have a 88 inch by 34 inch cab that currently has 2 400 watt hps fixtures. I just got a digital 600 from a buddy. I plan to run a perpetual setup, harvesting once a month. My head tells me to start the new flowering plants under the 400, then at week 4, move them to the 600 when that side gets harvested. I just wanted some opinions because maybe I'm wrong. Should I rotate between the 2 every few days? (HUGE pain im growin in combos of tubs and buckets). Should, for some reason, I start under the 600? I figure by the end of week 4 of the two 8 week strains I grow, they are done stretching and starting to pack on bud, so then they'll love the light increase. Just making sure my logic is correct, no sense in assuming when there are all these great knowlegable people right here to consult!

yes, veg with the 400, and flower under the 600 ... I used my 400 for both, but knowledgable growers claim an advantage by stepping up the flowering wattage :smokin:

No i think you misunderstood me. I have both within my flower cabinet. I have a seperate 400 and some t5s i veg with elsewhere. What I meant is that with one of each in a long, skinny cabinet, which side should I put the newest plants under? The 4 or 6?

I may still be a little dim on what you're asking, but I would place the younger plants, under the 400 ... older plants can tolerate the higher lumens easier than younger plants ... I have light-bleached smaller plants before

That's what I thought. All plants in this cab are done vegging. This is my flower cab. Think of it as 2 3x3 grow areas that are on the same light schedule. one has a 400, one a 600. Week 1-4 of flower under the 400, 4-8 under the 600 is what I think, and what I believe you think as well?

Yes, you should start them on the 400 side for the first half and move them to the 600 side for the second half. Big light at the end will boost your output.
