I would go one plant every 6-8 inches square. I would have pots the largest possible and as deep as possible, more soil only helps. I love hydro, and have built my own nft/ebb system that is super cheap, easy and works great. If you want i can get you some pictures. It can be built for less than 40 bucks. Its great for small grow boxes.

Let the clones get 6-8 inches tall. it depends on the strain. If they grow tall then flower sooner.

Also not SOG set ups need more air circ than normal, because all the plants are so much closer and disease can spread like a wild fire in the wind.

However, I am looking to switch it up and try the SOG method. My question is this how many plants would be best and what size containers should I use? I was thinking 1 gallon grow bags.
