Montrose Medical Marijuana Man Moving Out

Last month, we brought you the story of a Montrose man selling medicinal marijuana out of his home... last week, he was told he had to get out of the house.
Bill Hewitt was told by the United States Department of Housing he had to move out of his house on South Fifth Street by March 31st.
He thought it was OK to sell medicinal marijuana out of his home because he had a permit to possess the drug from the state.
However, the house he lives in is paid for by the Department of Housing, and because drug possession is still a federal offense, he broke the terms of his agreement with the Department.
He started the business THC with TLC last month and turned the home into a weed-growing facility.
Hewitt spent nearly $11,000 on six plants, and if he gets moved out the plants have little chance of surviving.
"I'm not giving up!" says Hewitt. He is writing a letter to President Barack Obama to ask for support in his ordeal.
"I believe my hero... my President will save me."
Unless something drastic happens soon, Hewitt says there is a good chance he and his children will end up homeless.

Hey granny.
I want to preface this, I have mucho respect for you, and am not slighting you in any way for having a soft spot. That's your opinion and if that's how you feel then ok.
I imagine you posted this to spread information about this current event, as well as hear other's pov.

Here's mine.

A couple of things.
1. How the hell are you going to spend 11K on six plants? WTF?
2. No one is entitled to grow, if you choose to then so be it. You must accept the consequences.
3. Excuse me while I blow a gasket. WHY THE FUCK IS HE IN SUBSIDIZED HOUSING WHEN HE HAS 11K TO BLOW LIKE A RETARD ON SIX PLANTS. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME! (Pardon my language, I am a foul mouthed ass hole!)
4. I did laugh my ass off at, "my hero Obama will save me", of course he will, someone obviously taking advantage of all of our money, when he apparently has enough to waste on 6 plants. What is he growing the greatest strain that ever existed on earth? LOL. Of course Obama will save him, he is whom Obama wants us all to be. DEPENDANT ON THE GOVERNMENT, gives job security.

I hope he does get evicted, and then I hope that he pulls his head out of his ass. This may be the best thing to ever happen to him. IMO

Start up costs if this brain dead slob went at it 1st class.

Imagine LED grow lights and NASA foiled grow closets, all the latest rage in grow tools and toys and maybe even a grow consultant to boot.

It was said he had a permit to grow for his mmj use but nothing said about any permit to be a care giver/grower.

My guess is he was looking for a way to smoke away the days living off of the public troft and make unreported income so as to stay in government subsisized housing.

I tried but no pity for this jackass.

What he was doing was intentionally willing to try and dodge his responsibilities as an excuse to make a dealer's salary all the while living in a house mostly paid for by the tax payers.

His being as clueless as he wants all to believe was merely a way to misplace blame rather than work thru his challenge of moving out of government housing into another to then be legal.

Any idiot who does as they want without beng sure of the laws prior to diving into something as this is just that..an idiot.

This mouse of a father places his own kid's welfare in jepardy and even danger by going at it as he did.

Be my guess that one needs to be clear headed when working thru the legal maze and not be stoned and sloppy.

Actions like this only fuels the fight against legalizing mmj and soon to be retail cannabis.
