I don't see America legalizing even 20 years down the road.

Some private companies are moving to test their employees for tobacco. Some make not smoking a condition of your employment. Police now authorized to use a drug dog without probable cause in traffic stops.

This is a couple of many examples of decreasing privacy of your life. Now people want to know more about what occurs in your private life. Disturbing yes. At least the laws in UK are reasonable and are still moving in a progressive direction. Meanwhile, the US is going backwards, heading to the days before the 1970 CSA. America has a neo-conservative movement: right wing moral ideology with left wing authotarian controls. The way I see legalization happening is through major funding and tax issues years down the road, which may happen starting under Bush.
