But yeah, the government has already lost the War on Drugs. They lost it when they declared it, because it was futile and doomed to begin with. Here in America the statistics clearly show this but no doubt the government is going to get even more fascistic about it in the coming years. At least in Europe there's hope for eventual legalization. The Netherlands have had incredible success with their drug policy, and Belgium is starting to follow suit. Even in Germany legislators are starting to call for experiments based on the Dutch model. In my opinion it's just a matter of time before it's legalized or at least decriminalized throughout the EU. But on this side of the Atlantic it's going to take a lot longer for the government to give in to the inevitable. But maybe that can be sped up if increased tolerance in Europe continues to show the kinds of results the Dutch have seen.
