clone issues, tell me what you guys think.

What kind of airpump/stones do you use with the system, almost sounds like a lack of oxygen in the nutrient solution?!? Probably best to use plain pH'ed water, thats all I use.
Also, what type of LED's are you using? I had one of those boards that are about a foot square with 225 LED's and it was worse than useless... I now use 6400k CFL's and all is good.

im not sure of the brand, ill check later, but i dont think the guy switched anything up from when he bought it.

ive been putting 7tbsp in my res every day (15 gal res) plus 2 air stones!

the leds are from Go Green Grow Lights the diodes arent the 5mm diodes and there is 2 blue wavelengths and 3 red covering the blue red spectrum

honestly i think rusty T is right about the lights. you said you were getting roots developing at first with the lights high up untill you started lowering it. when you lowered it, the clones focus prolly turned around and started on the leaves rather than the roots causing them to root out like that. plus i think all that crap your adding to the water isnt helping at all!!. i dont think its lack of oxegen in the water cause the spray heads imo do the work, most people that make these diy cloners dont even use em with great results. this is mine after 9 days. i just use plain ph ro water at 6.3 with temps around 72-75. the light above is "1" t5 light (i unhooked 3 bulbs from my 4 bulb t5 setup) at about 13 inches from the top. since you cant unhook any of your led diodes raise it up really high. as of your slime, i have no idea how to fix it cause i never came across that type of situation. i heard hydroperoxide helps but dont know if that will cure your prob. good luck next time. just remember do like rusty said "make a fresh cut on your clone for air bubbles" and raise that light. i also would just use plain water with root hormone on the root so it dont get airbubbles while putting it in the cloner. good luck next time bro!

this is where im at now..
i went into my room today and said fuck it, all my stems were coated with that brown slime. when i started taking the plants out, there were roots like crazys up insde the insert, some were even growing threw and then out the bottom of the insert but not on the exposed slimey stem.
so anyway, im taking all my trays, resevoirs and the easy cloner out and cleaning them with hydrogen peroxide. next time threw im just going to use PHed water w/hydrogen peroxide. no roots excel. or anything. im assuming my temps and everything were good.
lack of oxygen could be a problem too though since i run a sealed room. maybe put a dome on top and let fresh air in, cuz otherwise i wouldnt be able to keep my humidity up if i opened my room to the outside. or you think the water supplys enough oxygen to the roots.
howd you keep your res. temps that low? i guess i should get a aquarium cooler.

i wouldnt even put peroxide in your water, just put root hormone on the stems to seal it before going in the cloner. also keep your airstones in it. cleaning the ez-clone machine is just by adding a cup of bleach after you fill it up full with water and let it run for about 30 minutes, after it ran put your neoprene collars in there and give em some dunking then rinse all of it out well. i kept my temps kinda stable by keeping my single t5 up high and a fan blowing on the res, plus its seperate from my flower/veg chambers, plus my room temp is 72degrees. also you dont need to worry about humidity dome. my rooms rh is 20-30% the cloner keeps the moisture to the roots so the leaves never get a chance to transpire all its water out. oh and thanks rusty, i knew there is always appreciation for plant porn.
