What do you mean by plant light? There are loads of types, some are suitable for veg growth and some for flowering. Some HID, some CFL, some LED....

As Bigtopsfinn said, start reading because there is a lot to learn... you will need to understand things from lighting, nutrients, ventilation, light cycles etc etc. You need to do some research for yourself, and this site has all the answers (nearly), you just need to search for it!
