Vapir One 5.0 my review...
Wow... let me start by saying that my previous vaporizer was an old soldering-iron BC style contraption that did not work worth a damn!
I picked up the Vapir One for $149 with free shipping, grinder and inflation kit.
I also added the 3 year warranty
The unit itself is simple to operate and extremely portable. Once it comes to temperature and you insert your herb a thick vapor begins after 5-10 seconds. I find that one cartridge will fill about 4 ballons and a few whip hits as well.
The downside; the machine is pretty loud and the plastic housing gets pretty warm.
For those of you that can not afford the V-tower extreme or Volcano I think the Vapir might be an option.
All that is left to judge is the durability of the machine and I can assure you I will put it through its paces :P

Vapir One 5.0 my review...
I almost bought this vape but I read some issues about it leaking, how the digital read out was nothing more than lights for show, and the housing got too hot. I might suggest the I-Inhale, lot more positive reviews and portable, around roughly the same price range.:hippy:
I'm sure vapefiend will provide first hand experience seeing as I've never used it. It seems like each model has been better but they don't have it quite yet.:hippy:

Vapir One 5.0 my review...
I have a VooDoo vaporizer, it looks exactly like the Vapir One. High Times reviewed this Vapir One horribly saying that nobody wanted to touch the toxic thing much less smoke from it. After I read that I ran out and bought a Valcano and was impressed. I don't know what High Times was talking about with toxicity. I don't use the VooDoo anymore obvious reasons. Maybe the plastic housing would leach some toxic gas. :stoned:
Sorry to rain on you like that.

Vapir One 5.0 my review...
Well, it's not toxic. The plastic isn't exposed to high enough temps to produce any fumes. Like with the Vapir Oxygen Mini, a good full power 'burn in' is a good idea. The Voodoo IS the Vapir One. Vapir makes the Voodoo and Mystifire (Vapormatic) for Pyro Products-same exact units except for the looks.
epilepticme, you beat the reliability issue by extending the 90 day warranty to 3 yrs. The problem is that the extra $75 for extended warranty takes the price up to $225. That's herbalAire territory and herbie's a better unit. Coupon code 'xbox' gets you 10% off at vaporoutlet.com, for example. That's a $225 herbalAire w/free shipping.

Vapir One 5.0 my review...
i got the v 4.0 a few years back and was fairly satisfied with it, although it is the only vap i've ever tried. i'm not crazy about the whole the handle idea. sounded like a good idea but i think i'd like a stationary version better, volcano maybe, for my next one but this one definately works for me now. :rastasmoke:

Vapir One 5.0 my review...
I know I'm bringing this thread back from the dead but i wanted to give my review of the VapeAir.
I have had the 4.0 version for about three years now and it has held up great. The unit gets to temp with the herb drive in place fairly quickly, i would say around a minute or less. I have done a few mods to control leakage and ease of use. The herb drive system is really handy because you can buy multiple discs and then load and rip. Some units come with a locking key cylinder (mine didn't for some reason) this only disables the power switch. I think it would be a much nicer feature if it actually locked the herb drive as well so no one could open it up or inspect it. The bags it comes with are absolutely worthless in my opinion. It only holds one hit and the bags are so thick that they actually seem to push vapor back out the other direction. The size of hose that comes with the unit is also sized incorrectly it allows for leakage around where it connects to the unit as well as its pretty easy to pull out if you are not careful. The unit has three fan speeds but if you are using it around 365F i recommend a low setting when using tube as it gets too harsh on the mouth to handle. Atleast for me the temp settings seem spot on. There is an indicator light that will change from red to green when ready or at temp, on my unit this light seems to be pretty accurate, though at times as expected this light will cycle. The unit's design does seem to be hand held in nature however its very annoying to hold and i usually just have it operating on a flat surface. The unit has 5 buttons Temp +/-, Heat, Cel/F reading, Beep On/Off and a main power switch, the beep function is nice so that way if you are not looking at the display you have some type of confirmation of button contact however since the unit has no type of memory the beep and temp go to default when the main power (which is a must to stop the fan) is turned off, this of course returns the beep to silent mode which makes even having this function pretty useless. All in all i can say in my opinion this is the best bang for the buck on an entry level vape. I purchased mine for about $150 and for what you get i think it is highly worth it. Like i said i have had no problems with the unit and taking it apart to clean it is fairly easy.
My mods:
There is a little handle on the herb drive to remove it, i found this handle being too small to grip and instead i broke it off and replaced it with a long screw, screwed an inch in.
I used the outlet lip from the bags that came with it to make my own. I did this by using some chicken bags and using the tubing from a pen and a rubber band. The pen tube jams through the outlet lip (to hold the bag inlet open) and then the chicken bag is simply clamped with the rubber band around the grooves in the original outlet lip. I then shortened the length on the hose/whip/tube to about 8 inches and put another type of pen tube to be some type of screw in receiver, the method for screwing these together is a pain but you can get it down to an art pretty quickly (if anyone has a better idea, please adv.) So far there does not seem to be any melting of the pen tubes and the heat output does not seem to be that hot at that point anyway.
As far as using the unit as a direct inhale or whip style i suggest getting a thicker plastic tube hose at your hard ware store, this allows you to jam it through the outer opening of the exhaust flange for a leakfree tight fit, also stretch it over the inner metal exhaust housing for better results.
Last but not least i used electrical tape on all of the seams and the edges surrounding the herb drive, the outer casing of the unit does not seem to ever get too hot to bother it, just make sure none of the tape is too deep inside the drive cavity.
My friend has the 5.0 unit which is said to stop leakage or help, as far as i can tell, its the same unit.
Anyway, enough of the rambling.
All in all, great unit 3 out of 5 stars from me.
Happy vaping.
J:thumbsup:
