He is unveiling tougher sentences for growing, however bunching them together with a bunch of laws about gang offences and drive by shootings...puts the important stuff in with a bullshit increase in growing penalties. But that's his game I guess.

I read somewhere the category is something like 1-300 plants gets you a year. 300-500 is 2 years and over 500 is anything up to 14 years.

And its also useful to note the revival of the drug war under Stephen Harper. The senate said legalize in 2003; the liberals initiated decriminalization in the same year or shortly after...then we got stuck with the new drug war from the cons.
