I just planted 4 seeds on 2-24-09. Today being 2-26-09 they have not sprouted yet or at least i havnt seen them yet (im not home right now where they are growing). Anyways what are your oppinions on the Miracle Grow Perlite soil? I didnt really go to deep in into research on types of soil to use. Is it good, decent, or bad? Let me know

Miracle Grow Perlite soil- good? bad?
Give you seeds about a week or so to sprout, keeping the soil damp, NOT SOAKING WET, and keep them warm. about 78 degrees. should have them about 1/4 in the soil.
MG may burn them, but more than likely not. No other nutes are needed for about the 1st month or so. JUST WATER PLAIN WATER when she sprouts.
Patience, in your spare time read up. Don't run and check them every 1/2 hour, it doesn't help.

Miracle Grow Perlite soil- good? bad?
Usually takes several days for seeds to pop and surface, perhaps up to a week. I don't know much about Miracle Grow... It may be too "hot" for young seedlings (by this it means that there are too many fertilizers already in the soil), but otherwise it is alright to use. Most people will recommend you to stay away from MG, but you can use it. You just have to remember that you do not need additional ferts in your water for the first couple weeks after each re-pot, as the new fresh soil will have plenty at first.

Miracle Grow Perlite soil- good? bad?
I have lift off! after 2 and a half days 2 of my 4 seeds have sprouted they are both about a half inch high i put them under those twurly cfl light bulbs they seem to like it so far im not sure what kind of light i shud get in the near future but i am planning on getting a splitter so i can have 2 bulbs coming out of one socket, i figure thats all i need right now any way, but i dont have a whole lote of space either so i think it will do i also do keep the soil moist dripping water on the soil until i feel its good id say once every 3 to 4 hours(i dont over water i know that) i also forgot to metion that they are planted in those little dixie cups about twice the size of a shot glass, ill see how they do and if they get bigger i will replant in a bigger container. Thanks for the info guys keep it comin with any tips you have for me thanks!

No prob, try not to water so many times. Wait until the soil is dry, and give a heavy watering (about 10% run-off...hopefully you have drainage holes). I used to water twice a day, but now its only once every three days. I just posted a related thread about this stuff:
