I didn't like the movie much. The acting was good, that's about all. I guess it was a black comedy of sorts, but it had too many plot twists, and bad allegories, that were over the top, and some were just offensive.

Greatest movie ever made, I think. It's a brilliant look at the yearning for truth inside all of us, of the hollowness of daily life. The acting's all superb, the characters are multi-faceted human beings, the script is witty and thought-provoking, and of course, weed abounds. No film has ever spoken to me like this one. Love the moral ambiguity, too.

Anyone ever watched Six Feet Under, the HBO TV series created by Alan Ball, who wrote American Beauty? Greatest show ever.
