questions about coco
im in the process of converting a dresser i have into a grow cab. its got decent height, but i think i could only fit 2-3 plants in there with a regularly used potting soil.
I was by the hydro shop and I asked the guy if you can grow in coco and use smaller pots and he said no.
Now ive seen people grow normal sized plants in quarter gallon gatorade bottles using coco. can someone please explain? I dont want huge ass 5 gallon containers filling all my space up.zihowie Reviewed by zihowie on . questions about coco im in the process of converting a dresser i have into a grow cab. its got decent height, but i think i could only fit 2-3 plants in there with a regularly used potting soil. questions about coco
I've never used coco, but i've seen plants grow from clone to harvest in regular soil using 16 oz (20oz cut down) pop bottles. this was a SOG cfl method, and the results were great. Weed is just that, a weed, and from what i've read, it can pretty much thrive in most situations. i'd say go ahead and try, the worst that can happen is you have to transplant, right?

questions about coco
I tried coco, didn't like it, I'd recommend potting soil ... I imagine the small pots you saw growing large plants, were hydroponically fed ... :smokin:

questions about coco
Dude, coco is by far the best!! Holds 1000 times its weight in water. You can grow bigger plants in smaller pots. Coco has the best of both worlds, ease of soil with the growth rate of hydro.

its funny you say that reaper bc the hydro shop guy said the same thing, I just didnt remember.
They were definitely in pots. Ranging from 1L to 100L, look on the internet with a simple search. I guess i should have done that first, but I knew i had seen that and for some reason that guy misinformed me as he has before.
