good questions.
I've used BC Technaflora organic nutrients (the starter kit is a good deal) with good results. I actually use their Root 66, a mild fertilizer for seedlings and clones, as a foliar feed along with the Thrive Alive B1 Green.
This grow I used three part Fox Farm Soil nutrients with Advance Nutrient's Overdrive, a bloom excellerator.
I also use Brer Rabbit Blackstrap molasses (1-2 Tbs/gal).
I have a three step feeding schedule.
1) Nutes, water, molasses
2) water, molasses
3) just water
repeat
I foilar spray during veg every feeding. You do have to watch spraying under hot lights though. The bulb can bust if it gets wet and the plants can burn if they get too close to the hot lamps. I often remove the plants from the grow lights and spray them all, look 'em all over good before I put them back under the lights.
To keep healthy plants in soil I think it's imortant to keep the pot sized to the plant. Small pot for young plants, then transplant into largert and larger pots as the roots fill each pot. (don't put seedlings into a 5 gallon pot) And use just enough water that the pot dries out in 2-3 days, don't overwater. If you water too little and it needs more a day later, that's ok but if you overwater and the soil stays wet for a week, two weeks, that's un-good.
My water ph is 7, my soil run off is 7. That's how it started and that's what it is at now. I do not adjust ph at this time. I will add more peat moss (and less dolomite lime) to my soil mix next batch. That's all.
I do not "flush" but I do give them a big drink of water a week or more before harvest and then let them dry out good. The herb is nice and mild tasting even before curing.
Shov,
What strength do you use the route 66 and TA for the foliar feeding?
At what strength are you using the FF nutes? By their label?
Do you use molasses all the way through? Even during veg?
I ordered up the FF nutrient kit with the three quarts. Good deal.
