not to pick on you spiked, but i don't think that i would be able to tell (even if they were old enough) lol. Gotta have a steady hand when you take the shot...also if you are auto-focusing close ups, usually they come out like poo (for me anyways) unless i use the SLR. For your standard digital you may want to keep the camera back about 18" or so to take in all the detail. It also helps me to hold a sheet of plain white paper right behind the plant so you don't waste time autofocusing on things behind.
