    Cloning Help!!

So took some clones on Sunday this past week, so 4 days ago. Clones are looking very weak, I thought by now we would have seen some form of life comming back to the plants, however they appear to just be dieing. Any help would be greatly appreactiated.
The cuttings were dipped in Roots rooting hormone formula, and are in rockwell.

    Cloning Help!!

Have you had success with cloning before?
How close are you keeping the lights, and what kind of CFL's are you using?
Are you using the humidity dome, and keeping the enviornment humid using properly ph'd water?
Did you rinse the rockwool cubes in properly ph'd water prior to use?
    What are the day/night temps?
Have you given any nutrients or additives at all, through watering or spray?

    Cloning Help!!

I have had success with cloning before.
The lights are right above the hydro domes, using 2 34 W strip lights (T8)
Spraying the dome 2-3 times a day, water B1 mix
The rockwell cubes were soaked prior to cloning, pH was 6-6.5, mixture of weak 20-20-20 mix (hydro store suggestion) along with B1.
Temperature is steady at around 78
    24 hour lighting

    Cloning Help!!

I'm not saying this as some kind of super expert or anything but i think you should give it some time... I've tried, tried and tried, to clone killing many of them along the way. I came to the conclusion that after 4-6 days they weren't rooted or showing any new growth, i asked around and someone told me that i wasn't giving it any time. And told me that it usually takes around 10 days to root. I gave it a try and looked after 10-12 days in the humidity dome and wah-la roots!!! Somebody else also brought something else to my attention,
that roots grow in the dark and that foliage grow wit light... try leaving them in the dark for a few and check up on them in a week and tell me what ya get...

    Cloning Help!!

I'm not a big fan of giving any nutes (or additives, or vitamins) till you have roots that can do something with 'em. It's a waste, and burns the exposed plant tissue trying to pump-out the roots for ya.

Would raise the lights a tad, as foliar growth isn't the goal...root development is. You'll want just enough light for photosynthesis to continue, but at a much slower pace. And try misting the dome, (the inside) rather than misting the plants. You want them humid...not wet.

    Cloning Help!!

The leaves look really droopy on the 2nd tray. Is this a normal thing? Is there too much leaf on the clones? Also is 24 hours too much light for them?

Yeah, give it more time. My cloning time is around 10 days till you see decent roots. (average rockwool and bubble cloner).

It always takes longer than you want

    Cloning Help!!

Hey folks...so it has been roughly 10 days now....and still NO roots....I'm getting kind of concerned now....looks as though the one tray is completely gone now...leaves are wilted right up, some have gone brown and died. Is there anything I can do at this stage, as if we dont get any roots out of these then one of the strains we had going will be gone:S...we are makign sure the dome is always moist...should I re-dip them in rooting hormone? There are about 10-15 out of the 2 trays that appear to have some life left in them so Im hoping those will maybe take still? Would more hormone help?? Advice please!!!!

    Cloning Help!!

wheres your dome???.... It will help keep the humity level high and warmth to the roots...placing as heating pad under the starter tray makes the clones root twice as fast

I use dip-n-grow rooting hormone and a seedling starter with a dome for my starts and 2 shop lights (160 watts on 20/4 off) and I have a 99% survival rate

Dip-n- grow is a alochol based hormone in a concentrated form... use 1 cap full DG in a shoot glass of water
