The kit you mention contains a pH test kit, this will be a liquid kit. There is no mention of an EC meter (to test total dissolved solids, PPM), so you would probably want a digital pH meter and EC meter.
There are loads of hydro shops in the UK, I have a few hydro shops within 10 miles of me which I never knew existed until I looked, don't know if you have looked in your area. If there is one near you, you can pay cash to save leaving an electronic trace, and the shop owner will surely do a great deal if you buy all the gear in one visit (for cash! :thumbsup.
I started my first grow recently and decided to use a deep water culture (DWC) bucket, and things have gone great. You can buy a DWC kit for about £15-£20.
