    Lightheaded: Little different scenario

Hey guys, hoping somebody might be able to help me out. Been smoking for about 2-3 years now. When I first started smoking I never got a light headed feeling, seemed I could smoke for as long as I wanted and never got a light headed feeling even my first few times smoking. For about a year or so I was smoking pretty much every day sometimes multiple times a day. After that first year I cut down on my smoking significantly and now smoke maybe only 2-3 times a month but whenever I do now even if I only smoke a little bit I will get lightheaded and have fainted once. Any idea why this would be the case now but when I first started the same symptons weren't there? Also any ideas on how to remedy this? Thanks

sounds like some ooh weee! It would be hard to say withut knowing your medical background, also smoking mrijuana will lower bloodflow from some areas and increase it in others. Try taking light hits and just relax for a min after each hit.

Very likely to do with blood sugar or blood pressure. Weed lowers both. Try eating a healthy meal an hour before and drink a couple glasses of water.

Yeah sometimes my friend 'faints' and does some weird stuff on the ground for a few seconds, then gets up and is chill.. Usually happens after a big hit. Could be locking of legs and/or not getting enough oxygen.

go to the doctor , stop smoking for a week, or more, I dont think we can help you theirs no doctors here. It could be dangerous if your feeling faint, their could be other problems, go to the doctor

Get a routine physical and tell your doc you fainted. It can be dangerous if you do it while driving or doing something dangerous. If physical is o.k. ask to see a neurologist. If that is O.K. ask to see a psychiatrist. You need to find out what it is triggering. As you age, without cannabis-it will surface anyway. Might as well take care of it now and have a great life.

It would not be a good idea to use Indica's. As they will most likely increase the symptoms. If you are smoking schwagg-it is most likely sativa and if that is the case you may not be able to toke until you find out why.

Any other medical history of yours would be useful. Any recent injuries, pschological trauma, etc??

Are you on any medication or taking anything over the counter?

Change your supplier or type of strain you use? Too many variables in your post to give you very much advice! Other than Good luck and see the Doc and as per previous posts! PR :hippy:

I think you are in a legal state but getting mmj I hear is difficult. I hope you know what you are tokin!

    Your getting good advice here.

I will tell you this. STOP SMOKING, It constricts the blood vessls and lowers the oxygen in your blood. This maybe a serious health problem.

Not only do you need to see a doctor you need a cardiovascular doctor. Although it may not of seemed bad when you first started it can be very, very serious NOW. I mean heart attack serious.

I had for many years been a smoker and had this light headedness. If you crouch down light a base ball catcher and stand up quickly I would have what I called white outs. Everything went white for a moment and I could see nothing. SCARY and yet I never told anyone. As I grew older it got worse. And never told anyone.

At 43 I was aggravated by 3 computers at one time. Trying to fix all 3 at the same time. I went out and smoked a quite nice fat one. Which seemed at first to calm me down. A few minutes latter my left arm started to hurt, Then a small pain in my chest, not bad just a flutter. Then the feeling of empending doom. Not waitng for rescue help my wife (thank GOD ) drove me to the hospital. I was having a heart attack. The doc's gave me nitro and stopped it before it got tooo bad. Sent me to a bigger hospital for vascular and heart check. They ended up putting 2 stinths in on each side of my chest to open the blood flow. The rest of my blood vessels were all clean, go figure. Hereditary they said. All that could be said was that smoking a fat one and be honest with your doctor. Constricted the vessels and lowered the oxygen in my blood.

Being scared for a few years but no longer having the light headed feeling I smoke one with a friend. Best buzz I ever had. No bad feelings at all. I talk to my doctor and having eye problems that MJ helps I just watch out not to smoke too much. Be honest with your doctor.

Please do not ignore this problem. Health to you and peace.

    that sounds serious

i would say if you experience something like that on a daily or weekly basis to definitely get it looked at but for me it was just a one time deal
