Adding molasses to your bloom mix?

Does this help with the final yield and what is the correct dosage if so? Thanks for anyone who knows this!

Stinky knows more about it than me. I can't remember the dose. It is suppose to act like carboload and cheap. Did a search and found stinky says 1 tablespoon per gallon. Mother nature style.

Adding molasses to your bloom mix?

I've used blackstrap, non-sulfured, molasses in both soil and hydro ... I'm convinced it made for denser, heavier buds, a difference that was easy to see, and feel ... I pretty much start using it about a week before the switch to flowering, and then, right up until a week before the final flush ... I haven't used it outdoors, yet, but I am curious, if it may attract insects ... I don't recommend applying it foliarly, though (sticky, may attract bugs, block pores) ... I haven't found dosage to be critical, at all ... I use about a 'tablespoon-glop' per gallon of water, shake well ... no problems with clogging my drippers, or anything like that ... it may brown the roots, look scary, but it rinses right off, no harm ... I foresee using it every grow

Reaper you don't use it during your flush? I just started flush on plants and added 2 teaspoons per gallon. I think I might try it all the way through flower then.

I've seen posts, where molasses was used as a final flush ... it may be OK, I don't know, personally (I use H2O2 as flushes, between changes, and final) ... I was taught (probably from one of Mel Frank's books), that sugars give a harshness, and that's a partial reason for long curing ... I think it said sugars turn to something less offensive, during curing (I'm not a chemist, and the memory ain't fer shit, either ) ... some of us intentionally smoke pot to 'forget', :wtf: ...

Thanks for info all! Yeah... I read that HighTimes recommends 1 tbsp per gallon as well. I will start doing this. My girls (4 of them) are on their 4th week of bloom. Just a couple more to go.

Yeah Thanks for your reply! I went and bought some molasses today and added 2 tbsp to each of my reservoirs (2 gal). I didn't even have to adjust the ph cuz it brought the water's ph down anyhow. I hope to see how well my girls do with this additive!

Well... the whole molasses thing ended up being a disaster. It ended up clogging up my airstones and 2 of my girls died on me even though I took them and washed off their roots and remixed their nutes without it. My other 2 girls are doing fine. I could not get the ph level down no matter how much ph down I added. I will stick to the regular nutes for now on.

Sad to hear that man. How did you add it to your rez. I have not used it and the info may help others.
