Eighths, quarters, halves..........these things, these modern things makes me say what the you know what! If my recollections are clear, and I believe they are, these animals came into being during the Reagan years. No one ever heard of such a thing except the for ol' nickle and dime bags. But hey, how many people do you know that just didn't buy the whole ounce back then until the price when suddenly through the roof?

I mean back then an oz of excellent smoke was had for $20 until the coming of the Columbian. And then it only jumped by a dime to $30, and it was to tell the truth, worth it. Yeah, there were complaints about the price increase, but compared to the prices today, it was like shopping at Wal Mart. And at times, quarter lbs could be had for $45 in the early 70s back east, going up to $110 just before raygun.

I don't know what it really was that has driven the price to the sky like today. Did the powers that be cash in on the price rises by keeping prohibition in place? I say you can bet you asses on it. I mean, just look at what trash we had sitting in the White House for the past eight years. The vice president holds stock in private prisons, and we all know the idiot George's track record. Just knowing these two facts its a no brainer.

Now, I, for one, am tired of getting jacked for what should be as abundant as tobacco, and just like tomato plants, if you can grow them, have at it with no fear. Then you will once again see the market stabilize, prices come down, down, down, and all the small growers make a few bucks along with the top end.

The days of the $300-$400 and ounce are going to end very soon, and frankly, I have never and would never pay more the $10 a gram for any kind of killer, fire or whatever you want to call it. And that is on the retail. Anything above that, except maybe hashish! is getting greedy.

The way I see it, the cannabis market is going to be local once the levee breaks, and the best local growers, producers with the best crop will prevail. The tsunami is on its way and its going to wipe out the high prices so the average joe can go grab an oz like back in the old days, and the eights, quarters and halves will revert back to the ol' nickle and dime bags of yore. Ounces under a $100 by 2010.

Have I been smoking too much!!!! :twocents: Nah, its gonna happen, just watch and see.

I have no idea what condoms and cannabis have in common unless some one has developed some big enough to put around the male plants!!! :lol5: Unless some are hating to see the future because the marijuana millionaires sure aren't your dedicated, spiritual grower. Yeah there is a degree of economics but............when the money is gone they will be gone and the real revolution will begin. I don't know, are there any here? :twocents:

Just to make another observation, as for medical people, anything over $10 a gram, and even that, is on par with pharmaceuticals. I think you people in Cali pay a sales tax too if I'm not mistaken. In Washington, none for non-profits, or none period for that matter. Co-op aren't really even legal yet but are tolerated, at least in King County. So, anything over $10 a gram is starting to go the way of big pharma and the price of a prescription tab of opiate pain killer. How many medical people are really having a hard time keeping up a supply of medicine at prices over $10.

BTW, what I pay $10 or would pay max for sure as hell ain't schwag, and it gets my medical need taken care of at a gram a day. Oh lucky me some may say.

actually i was quoting willie nelson from the movie half baked when he was talking to dave chapelle about how much weed use to cost. Apparantly you haven't seen this movie but the first line is something like "Man, I remember when a dime bag only cost a dime" or something like that followed by the condom line...

You're right I didn't see the movie. Nonetheless, Willie is right on with that statement.
