I suggest smoking for the first time getting high. Eating it can be extremely potent, and it can sneak up on you. I foolishly ate a big dank bud of some Trainwreck, or something really good, and anyway, an hour later, I didn't feel much, but two and a half hours later I was peaking in line at the airport.

Anyway, the reason I suggest smoking is because the effects are felt instantly, and you will understand better what it is to be high. And you can just take small hits. You can get just as high from smoking three small hits and one big one.
