hello fellow texan! the bugs that you are seeing are spider mites. they pose no threats to humans. they don't feed off our blood or anything. they are commonly found on snakes (i only say this because i have two) and other hosts.

you have several options to combat the spider mites. ladybugs are said to eat them. and then when you are done with the lady bugs you can just vacuum them up and put them in the refrigerator until needed again.

you can also use pyrethrum. you can find this at many pet stores and online. it is a tad overpriced though. so instead, you can get the Equate brand (walmart brand) at walmart in the pharmacy section. i think it was less than $4. it is used in the killing of head lice. it is the exact same thing as found in pet stores. it dissipates very quickly.

make sure not to use it two weeks before harvest! hope this helps.
