    The Great Lyricists (Rock)

So, which ones are your favourites? For me, nobody can touch Bob Dylan, and Jim Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Roger Waters, Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix also come to mind.

Bob Dylan was a poetic genius who wrote complex and ambiguous songs on just about any topic relevent to the human condition. I feel so thankful his music graced our era.

Bob Dylan- a lyricist so good they're still bastardizing his music

Behold the latest commercial drivel- My Chemical Romance butchering Desolation Row

If any of my friends decide they like this song, then they're dead to me.

Lets try this again. Maybe it will work this time

EDIT: Anyone know why videos won't post? When I preview the post it shows up fine, but when I post it gives me gibberish. WTF.

bob dylan, neil young, tom waits, townes van zandt, shane macgowan, nick cave, leonard cohen, and john prine are all amongst the best lyricists ever. although based on the entire history of this music room everyone is far too stupid to get any enjoyment or thought provocation, so i can't really recommend them to anyone here.
