i am a musician, who speaks freely about these issues, in my music.
and we are, here in the state of south dakota, in my home voting county are beginning to get the petitions ready... we only missed by a slim little bit. I spoke with a couple of different business owners who are doing great things to make sure everyone around them is doing the right thing...

for every one thousand signatures each of the bar managers gets, he is signing them up for a trip to san fran... if they get five thousand, he will pay for everything.

pretty sweet thing to do.

looking forward to putting in the work here on the most local of levels...

Dear Mr. President,
I have to admit that I'm confused and not just a little mad about your recent actions (or should i say inaction) in regards to cannabis.
When asked if you would support a bill to legalize, regulate and tax cannabis just like alcohol you responded with derision and mild insult. So I ask: Just what is so funny?
What's funny about the thousands upon thousands of sick people who find relief from a non-addictive plant?
What's funny about kids being able to buy weed anytime they want it, but having to ask stangers to break the law for them in order to get beer?
What's funny about having a cheap and effective alternative to cutting down our forests for paper and lumber?
What's funny about having access to hemp seed, one of the most healthy foods in the world?
What's funny about taking alot of the power and money out of the hands of the drug cartels?
What's funny about the possibly hundreds of thousands of jobs that would be created the day cannabis is leagal?

I could go an for quite some time because I, unlike you obviously, have done alot of research in regards to cannabis. Can cannabis save the world and cure all our ills like some of the more die-hard cannabis supporters say? Honestly probably not, but there are a thousand reasons to legalize it and regulate it and make use of a rersource that could help us save ouselves.

I had HOPE, Mr. President, that your really represented CHANGE, but as the days go by I fear that you only represent more of the same; just another greedy polotician who lies with almost every breath, and immediately forgets who got him where he is the second his ass hits that fabled chair in the oval office.
