I had 11 plants from 4 different types of seeds, 2 were fem. 2 werent. 4 days into flowering one showed sign possible male..wasnt sure, figured its still early to tell. day 6 went down and 3 of 6 feminized were male, and 3 of 5 unfeminzed were male..
the one i thought was male ended up being a male. do you think because i didnt take it out immediately it had an effect or no? i just think thats wierd.bigitaly4life Reviewed by bigitaly4life on . feminized seeds..some male I had 11 plants from 4 different types of seeds, 2 were fem. 2 werent. 4 days into flowering one showed sign possible male..wasnt sure, figured its still early to tell. day 6 went down and 3 of 6 feminized were male, and 3 of 5 unfeminzed were male.. the one i thought was male ended up being a male. do you think because i didnt take it out immediately it had an effect or no? i just think thats wierd. Any plants that "turned out male" DID NOT come from fem seeds!
Regular seeds should give you at least 50% females, maybe more if your're good.
BUT popping 5 seeds is a relatively small sample to draw statistical analysis from.
Just my thoughts.Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic

so-called 'feminized' seeds DO produce occasional males ... feminized seeds are whack, in my humble opinion ... sprout regular seeds, pick your best plant, and clone from her, that's the best way to do it ... good luck :smokin:

They don't plant acres of seeds and then go thru months later killing males, it's just would not be economical.
I just germinated about 70 feminized beans this past week, about 60 have emerged and started. I will veg them about a week or so and then they will go to the bloom room, under 12/12 and grow just like they where cuttings. No need to sex them, they are all female. The difference between them and clones is that the clones will all grow the same, ie: growth rate, size, potency etc., just like the mothers they came from. The girls grown from seed will show some variations in rate, size etc.
In the 35 or so years that I have produced female seeds, I have yet to have a male show up. I believe if you research this subject you'll find it is scientificly impossible to come up with a male.
Not looking to argue with you BTW, just going to stand by my statement: "feminized seeds produce female plants."
That is not to say, seeds being sold as "feminized" have not produced males.
That's a different problem.Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic

oldmac where did your seeds come from? Were they from a reputable breeder? If so, your feminized seeds should not have produced males.

As I stated I've produced my own feminized seeds for myself (and others) going back about 35 years and have never had a male show up.
My point was the same as yours, if the seeds came from a reputable breeder and sold by an honest seed bank, then you should not get male plants from feminized seeds.Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic

Yep ,
Femin seeds have a place in this world . - The garbage .
Unless your room / grow is perfect - no stressors . Your asking for trouble .
I've even went as far as tryin to stabilize some , no self polinated shit . Cross em out to another femin plant = reducing the hermie traits by 50% and still seen nanas.
To each they're own , but chicks w/ balls are no fun , unless your Eddie Murphy .
