bigtopsfinn Reviewed by bigtopsfinn on . First Grow, Log one Hello everyone, I have a few questions... This plant is about 2-3 1/2 weaks old now. Should it be only this big? So far Im doing the light scheduals sort of random, Atleaste till I get a timer. But Im trying to keep it at 18/6. Though I sometimes am off give or take a couple hours. Theres a little yellowing on the bottom leaf you can see in the picture, Doesn't the bottom leafs turn yellow and fall off, Is this normal. I don't have much money for a ph testing kit and all the things. Rating: 5

Looking nice, clear trichomes. Yum. A moderator should be able to delete that thread. I saw a question that didn't get answered about the lights.

"I have noticed The US and the UK CFL's vary in wattage usage and equivilence, eg. in the UK a 20watt (even an 18watt phillips brand) = 100watt output, for 150watt output, the bulbs are only 30watts.... strange???"

Okay, here's the math... if 20 watts gets you 100 watt output, then 30 watts, which is 20 watts plus 10 (half of 20) watts, gets you 100 watts plus 50 (half of 100) watts, which is 150 watts. The wattage to output ratio is the same for both cases.

Congratulations it's a girl. There's no need to ever rip out a plant unless it has a deadly transmissible diease or it's male.

All I could find was soft white cfls for the money I had on me.

I'm not sure how good shes doing.
I dont want to give up on the plant.
But it isnt growing any taller that Iv'e noticed,
Anyways, I do however see new growth of leafs sence Ive changed the bulbs.
Maybe she will grow taller idk?

Im going to have to go outside and dig up some new soil soon.
Iv'e noticed some yellowing on the leafs, That could possibly be inbalaced Ph levels idk.

The timer I got isnt working to well, Should invested more than 5 dollares in a timer, It isnt to precises.

Also I got another seedling started, But it doesnt seam to be getting any bigger.

How ofton should I be watering these babys?
Any tips and help would be super.

    Thanks so much.

    Your fellow noob grower.
i think u r going at this too cheap. the plant needs ssome kind of nutrients. if u get dirt from the yard u r going to end up who knows what in your grow! bugs are in yard dirt! someone told u to get pro mix but if u use this u will need to feed the plants and if u feed u need at least a ph meter. just my thoughts
