You failed to mention it (corn flakes) was developed and first offered to folks vontarily trying to lose weight, on a fat farm. Every fat farm had the latest fad in diet and exercize. They (the visitors) liked the cereal enough to drive Kellog (I forget which brother) to market it. Back then, the science wasn't nearly as advanced as today, and regardless...they believed what they came up with would help folks lose weight, not sustain nutrition.

I love the cereals, and eat them daily.
