The point is, lots of our songs, poems, stories and legends were originally written as gaelige and sound and have more meaning when read and sung that way. There was a time when speaking Irish was against the law â?? not any more. If people have an interest and a passion for keeping their heritage alive, why would you have a problem with that???
English is the predominant language in Ireland because we had it imposed on us. I sure hope my throwing in the odd â??cupla focalâ?? doesnâ??t upset you too much
