Your lady's are really doing work for there pimp. lol man that giga bud looks so so pretty! now if you dont mind me asking how much was you system with the whole setup (buckets, Nutrients,Pumps, exc.)? But my eyes are on this grow becasue you've gone from soil (frist grow) to hydro (present) and it seems easy as pie. thanks also for listing the pro's and cons. now another question.. are you going to stick to hydro growing or you going back to soil or both?

hey camoxnhx what's up thanks for stoppin by. let me see if i can answer some of your questions ...

1) The whole system is actually really cheap. The boxes are homemade, painted the inside white. The 250W HPS was $120. I built some racks for about $20. The bubble cloner was probably $30 total. Fans were $20 each ($60 total). The pots are old gatorade bottles (free) a bunch of duct tape probably like $40 worth so far haha. The nutes are like $50 for the tri pack, i've bought two of those so far. No pumps. So that is $370 total so far. Oh plus the seeds which were maybe $50 so far. haha, that's $420 (and i did not do that on purpose).

2) I do not think I will be doing soil again. Obviously my outdoor stuff will be soil, but I truly enjoy the speed and ease of hydro. I will be moving to aeroponics also, as soon as I move into my new place. I might actually build an aero cloner just to try stuff out before I move. That is ZERO medium, and I love that. The key to a big bud is big roots so that should be awesome.

Might keep moms in soil if I have the space. More than likely I will put them in 5 gallon DWC instead though.

All this talk of Moms made me realize that I think I am going to flower out my GB mom pretty soon. I just need to figure out how much space I need for that.

so are you pumping water constantly into the hempy buckets? And if its not to much could you breakdown the process of filling it with water or how you go about your hempy buckets. or maybe pics to show how to set it up if not its all good buddie. Your plants look amazing btw. Dude hows that power skunk smell btw.

nope. i water every 2-3 days (they are a little dry at 3 days, but marijuana thrives in wet to dry to wet cycles). Let me see if I break this down a little better and I will try to take some pictures later on and post them up.

The hempy bucket is quite simple and it is that simplicity that makes them so great. Basically you take any bucket (i used 32 oz gatorades with the top cut off but you can essentially use any size) and cut/drill a hole about 1-1.5" from the bottom. When I first made buckets I used a 1 gallon paint bucket and ended up glueing a small piece of screen over the hole. With my gato-buckets I have been just cutting little holes in the bucket and saying screw the screens. Once your bucket is prepared you fill it with the medium which for me is perlite/vermiculite (4:1). You can use anything as a medium though (just not soil). The point of the buckets is that there is a small reservoir in each one (below the hole) and therefore that fills with your nute mix everytime. Once the roots hit that res they go nuts. So when I FEED (always nute mix, never just water) every 2-3 days, I fill until there is run off from the hole. Oh and I used the FF line up ... just follow the exact feeding schedule.

That is pretty much it. I will try to post some pics tonight if I have some time. If none of that makes sense, let me know, but I hope that helped a bit.

I highly suggest using hempys, it is easy as hell. I know killa12345 has used 11 liter buckets and grown some bad ass black haze so you can def grow some monsters.

i definetly think you got it secret......one thing though....i have been seeing IRB(hempy's when not following directions to his specifications) using soil mixtures......also....PH is very important.....some strains wont show problems but some picker strains will hate the ph flucts.....im still learning on this process myself.....recently i been seeing that 1 gal is the ideal size.....plus ive been seeing different methods which i will post on very soon!
