    Topping/activated carbon?

okay few questions rather than posting two seperate forms ill just ask both of them here..
where can i buy carbon to make my own filter? a hydroponic shop maybe?
and also im not totaly sure where to top my plant?! is it where it breaks into two stems right below the nodes?

also, i just build a flowering room yesterday and i was wondering if i can use these bulbs i found at the hrdro shop yesterday, their i believe 960 llumes, says there good for flowering and also starting seeds so idk. i used two floressents to grow it and its rapedly growing, as you can see i really need to top it!

will the two flouressents i have now and maybe two more of the 960 llumes be okay for flowering?

(i havent put the air inlet or exhaust in yet, doesnt have a roof even, im a broke mofo right now!!)

    Topping/activated carbon?

hydro shop does have it and can be found online much cheaper. As for the plants..floro's make little light compared to hid so they are reaching for light. They can be much closer to plants than hid's and doing so will help with the lanky. Canopy should have bout 10k lumens so that gives an idea how much you could add although flouro's are widely used and do a fair job.

imo 120,000lumen.[/QUOTE] 120,000 target lumens???? That is near source numbers for a 1k hid. Unless I missed something, you cant even put a plant close enough to an HID to get 120k to a canopy. Thats a few inches away at best. Of course I prefer to wait till mine finishes b4 I smoke it rather than let the bulb smoke it for me. lol My 400hps @20-24in away gave me node spacing at less than 3/4 inch and displayed some heat stress any closer.

    Topping/activated carbon?

Looking for carbon for filters? depends how you want it. In raw small rock form go to Walmart and buy a bottle of activated carbon in the fish department. If you want it in a sheet type form go back to Walmart and in the section where they sell filters for air purifiers you can buy carbon prefilters which normally wrap around a regular filter. So depends on what you are tryong to build. By the way why would you pose for a pic and post it on a website and also show you are from a non-legal state? Just curious is all.

    Topping/activated carbon?

hah, okay i made one, what do you think? its a pretty low budget filter and i hope it works. i used regular screen for windows on the outside, packed it with carbon pellets from petsmart and sealed the other end off with carbon prefilter. Hope it works!

hah its not me, its not even my plant anymore im just kinda the builder guy.
I also moved out here to cali about a month ago and just never got around to changing it.

whats your ventilation situation? I thought i saw one before but glancing over the pics i dont. Thatd help reduce any heat stress which the hps may cause.

i only have a exhaust right now, but im getting some money today for a inlet fan. and a flowering light, im not worried about the heat right now cause im just using two flouros that dont put hardly any heat off. im also going over today to paint the inside and cut a hole for the inlet fan, maybe start flowering tomorrow :] waited a lonnng ass time for this week.
