I originally posted this exact thread on 1-14-09 and it was lost and now I'm reposting it with some updated info. I was only able to retrieve it because I left a computer on the thread page!

The site has been down since I believe 1-08-09. It started with the site being slow and not really loading everything such as the state or country flags and a few other things. Then it got worse. You probably got the generic browser message about explorer can't find the website or you may have gotten the error page from vBulletin or the vBulletin database error page.

Now it is like everything from December 20th or so has been lost. Posts, threads, even the rep is missing.

Everyone take a deep breath.......

First of all, the mods only moderate the board and have no control over maintenance. This is mainly Sundance's area and I haven't spoken to him since the problems began. I doubt the other mods have either.

I'm sure Sundance is well aware of the overall site problems as well as that it hasn't been fully restored. If he doesn't know it's fully restored I'm sure he'll figure it out as soon as he checks to see if it is back up and running.

Do the mods know if things can be restored: No.
Do the mods know if things will be restored: No.
Do the mods know when the website came back up for the first time: Sometime on 1-114-09 sometime after midnight and before 8:30 a.m. EST.
Do the mods know what happened in the first place: Yes. Something fucked up.
Do the mods know if service has been restored or if we can expect more website issues: I wouldn't be shocked if it went back down.
Do the mods know about the server or webhost or any of that: Hardly.
Do the mods know if the server is a MMJ patient: Hippa laws prevent disclosure of healthcare records LOL!


However, I'm guessing that things can be restored and hopefully they will.

In the meantime, please everyone just be patient and use your most patient inducing strain you have right now. Maybe someone can start new grow and cross a couple of plants and come up with a new strain and name it "Server Too Busy" because after you smoke it you can't respond!! LOL! :thumbsup:

Also, please let's not try to start 50 threads on this same thing. Please! It's not a race either that when the site comes back up that you are the first person to post about the problems. We do have a brain and we know everything is messed up and we are aware how everything from December 20th and on is missing. Do you know how many people raced (some strolled) back on here when it comes back up to ask where everything went. A lot and those threads are lost too.

In the meantime our extensive IT department will probably have to work overtime!

Additional info. Ok, it's now 1-19-08 and the site looks like it came back after being down on 1-15-08 sometime overnight. After coming back up shortly on 1-14 the sight went back down that afternoon and remained down. It came back up on 1-15-09 again for a short time then the forums were turned off and connecting to the site was spotty. Most posts that people made on either day have been lost again.

Again, I don't know anything about the site maintenance but I do know that everytime the site goes down, when it comes back it keeps "restoring" to only 12-20-08. Earlier I said I thought that Sundance would be able to retrieve the old posts. I know we lost some pics in the past but I was thinking that posts were slightly different than pics. I'm not so sure anymore. If you post something, you may want to copy it or wait until all the problems are resolved.

I have now talked to StinkyAttic but no one else. I know Sundance is working on the site because I saw him online using the administration tools but he hasn't updated us yet. I'll pass anything along once I know more.

TYVM my friend, since the boards went down, my single NCDG plant has been harvested, and I got 3 full cure jars from the one plant. I will have to post pics later... gotta go make some more money now.
