Since you live in someone else's home thats not possible. So the only "responsible" thing for you to do is to get your own place and then go about growing indoors. Always remember loose lips sink ships. Don't trust anyone with something that can put your personal freedom in the scales of justice.

There's a big woods out the back of my house, if I were to start hide water in a tree now and build/camoflage supports, would there be any problem with growing in pots up a tree for the summer?
