    Anyone else seen this?

I saw something that caught my eye and I might try. I was at sears in the tool dept. and I saw what looked to be an extension cord/droplight, but instead of a reflector or bulbcage it had an HID LED panel on it(3"x6"). I think it said something like 1250w on it but had the wife and kids with me and couldnt investigate further, plannin to go back tho...Anyone else seen/have/used what I am talkin bout?

Sounds interesting. I've been reading 'how to build a better LED thread' and am about to go procyn, due to impatience and cost of mmj. Please keep us informed.

Just a gal's opinion though: I don't think something that small would give enough light for the girls to grow, unless it is only one plant you intend to grow with it. If you could somehow divide it to spread out the light? Interesting. Costco was selling a flat panel LED with every light in the spectrum last summer for around $30. I believe it was 1 Amp per bulb and approx. 10" X 18". I considered it, but after reading more in that thread, I realized the white bulbs would not make it grow (as I recall-could be remembering wrong-'mad cow'! lol ) Just thot I'd toss that in, in case you are seriously checking all source's, as am I!

Might work well as a side light though ..... let us know what you find out
